Digital cameras record images directly onto an inserted memory card. There are many different memory cards, ranging from SD flash cards to XD digital card. All these cards function in the same way, but many camera manufacturers use their own specifically designed card. In order to upload images stored on the memory card, you must use a compatible card reader and upload the images to a computer.
