Safe mode is a boot option available in most Windows operating systems. This mode is generally used for troubleshooting purposes. If an application is causing errors in normal mode, starting the system in safe mode allows you to determine whether the problems reside in the default Windows settings or in additional components you have installed. Safe mode provides only the essential Windows utilities, drivers and system services and does not include all additional applications you have in normal mode.
