You can add your personal DVD movies to your iTunes library, provided they are your personal videos and not copyrighted movies. iTunes can play MOV or MPEG formatted movies. iTunes also converts movie formats from the original format, provided it is not a copyrighted movie. The movies are added to the “Movie” section of your iTunes library, and you can later sync them to an iPod or iPad. Commercial movies on DVD are copyrighted and cannot be copied into iTunes.
