Stationery can come in many sizes, shapes and weights. Despite these variables, there are ways to print on it, regardless of the printer used. Most printers are designed to print on 8-1/2 by 11 paper, with adjustable guides to accommodate larger or smaller sizes. Printing programs, such as Microsoft Word or Notepad, offer printing options that help the printer adjust to the stationery variables. If you are using Word, click on the “Basic” tab in the “Properties” window. Choose your paper size by clicking the down arrow in the “Size” field. If your paper size is not listed, choose “Custom.” The paper size should be “Same as Original Size” or “Custom.” Click “OK” to exit the Properties window, then “OK” again to close the Print window. Choose the Page Layout or Edit window. Choose Margins and enter the margins you would like to use. The instructions for margin settings in Notepad are the same for MS Word. When completed, return to your document. Tips Writer Bio
