Crop or resize the image to 500 x 700 pixels or smaller. Save the image as a JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP file. Log in to your Tumblr dashboard, then click the “Text” post icon to open the New Text Post form. Type an optional title for the post in the Title box, then type a message in the text box. Click the “Camera” icon to open the Photo Upload dialog box. Browse to and click the photo file, then click “Open” to upload the photo to the text post form. Click the “Post” button to publish the post. To view your blog content as users see it, log out of Tumblr then open your blog page using the URL “myBlogpage.tumblr.com,” replacing “myBlogpage” with the name of your blog. You can insert photos hosted on photo-sharing sites. Visit the photo sharing site to generate the HTML code to display your photo. Click the “” link in the New Text Post form to open the HTML editor.
