All of the television broadcast signals sent from full-power stations changed from analog to digital on June 12, 2009. However, not every television set is capable of displaying digital signals. These TVs need a digital-to-analog converter box, or what is often referred to as a converter box or DTV converter box, hooked to them in order to watch television programming.
