Embed Link in Post
Open your Tumblr dashboard, then click the “New Text Post” icon to open a new post form. Type a title for your post in the Title field, then type the body of your post in the Post text box. Drag your cursor over the text to hyperlink to highlight the text. Click the “Chain” icon in the top menu of the post editor to open the Insert/Edit link dialog box. Type or paste the destination URL in the Link URL field. Do not enter a title for the link if you intend to use the highlighted text as the hyperlink. Click “Insert" to copy the link code to the Link URL box. The link becomes a clickable link when the post is viewed in a browser.
Embed Link in Description
Open your Tumblr dashboard, then click the blog to edit in the right menu panel. Click the “Customize” link to open the blog in Edit mode. Type or paste the HTML code for the hyperlink in the Description box. Use the standard syntax below for the embedded link. Change “URL” to your link URL and edit the “Link Text” characters to contain the hyperlinked text. Link text Click “Update Preview.” Note that the Save button is not available until you preview the changes in the center panel.
