You can perform a hard reset on your TomTom GPS device when necessary. A hard reset will wipe all saved data from the device, including points of interest, addresses, favorites and recent destinations. This option resets the device back to its factory defaults. Doing this makes it impossible for a future owner of the TomTom to retrace where you’ve been with the GPS.
