The PlayStation 3 supports a wired Internet connection when connecting to the PlayStation Network. The PlayStation Network houses all online PlayStation content, including the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and a variety of streaming media service such as Netflix. Built in to the PlayStation 3 is an Ethernet port, which can be used to connect to a broadband modem or router. Ethernet connections require less set up and are generally more reliable than wireless connections.
